I have made a few allusions to a project that Sam and I have been working on and I can now tell everyone about it…. I was contacted about 3 months ago by Sutter Health and their ad agency to see if I would be willing to have my story told as part of their “Our Story is You” campaign. Turns out they had found my blog, and thought that Sam and I would be a great and compelling way to tell the story of Sutter Health NICU care. So, over the past few weeks Sam and I have had a photoshoot (for the ALta Bates community magazine that will be out any day now) and a 2 day TV shoot.
Starting today, from Sacramento to Modesto on just about every major network our TV spots should run. Just in case, I have posted them for your viewing pleasure.
There will also be a longer video available soon. This one is more detailed, and features the whole family! Once it is posted, I will share the URL with everyone.
Happy viewing!

Hi Peter, Melissa, Irene, and Superstar Sam! I just saw this ad tonight on TV! He looks so big now! And when he smiled during the commercial, it truly melted my heart! He is a lucky boy to have been born into such a wonderful family!
Hugs to you all,
JoAnn

JoAnn- so great to hear from you! I am glad you got to see the ad- there was so much more in there that they didn’t use where I gushed about all of the wonderful people in the NICU. It was my little love letter to all of you. I have to say, Sam was lucky to be born at Alta Bates where his extended NICU family is as well. We miss you!

Hi Melissa,
I don’t know how I missed this, but I just saw the ad and was so touched by it. It brought a tear to my eye to hear you talk about how Alta Bates saved Sam’s life, because it’s so true. Sam looks perky and smiley and I loved the red cape by the way! Love you guys, Lisa
